Animal Welfare Consultant
Location: Remote, anywhere | Commitment: 8–10 hours/week | Language: Spanish required; English C1+
We are seeking an Animal Welfare Consultant to provide technical expertise on the health and welfare of farmed animals. Your contributions will be essential to our case assessments, regulatory analysis, and public reports, ensuring they are grounded in robust veterinary knowledge and ethical commitment.
Responsibilities:
Review and contribute to technical reports, case files, regulatory proposals, and enforcement documentation.
Help identify and define indicators of poor welfare conditions in animal farming facilities.
Collaborate on training materials or public communications from a veterinary perspective.
Skills & Qualifications:
Degree in Veterinary Medicine (ideally obtained in Chile or another Latin American country).
Knowledge of and/or interest in farmed animal welfare.
Ability to interpret veterinary and technical language within policy contexts.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
Independent, self-motivated, and well organised.
Fluent in Spanish, with English proficiency (minimum C1 level) for internal collaboration.
Comfortable working remotely with a diverse, multicultural team.

Fundraiser
Location: Remote | Commitment: 8–10 hours/week | Reports to: Executive Director
We are seeking a committed and proactive Fundraiser to help secure the resources required to expand our impact for farmed animals. This role will involve developing and implementing fundraising strategies, identifying funding opportunities, and cultivating relationships with potential donors, foundations, and partners.
You will work closely with the Executive Director to design and deliver fundraising initiatives that align with our mission and priorities. While this is currently an unpaid volunteer position, there is the possibility of modest compensation in the future as the organisation grows and secures additional funding.
Responsibilities:
Research and identify potential funding sources (grants, foundations, philanthropists, sponsorships).
Assist in preparing compelling proposals, donor communications, and funding applications.
Help develop fundraising campaigns and donor engagement strategies.
Maintain accurate records of donor communications and funding opportunities.
Collaborate with the Executive Director to set and meet fundraising targets.
Skills & Qualifications:
Interest in animal law, animal protection, or social justice causes.
Strong communication and writing skills in English.
Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable in meeting deadlines.
Comfortable working independently and proactively.
Ability to research and synthesise information clearly.

Latin America Communications & Outreach Coordinator
Location: Remote | Commitment: 8–10 hours/week | Language: Spanish & English
This role supports our growth in Latin America by helping us connect with Spanish-speaking audiences, amplify our advocacy work, and strengthen partnerships with aligned organisations. You will collaborate closely with our global Communications Lead (English-speaking) and Executive Director, providing a regional perspective and linguistic expertise to our outreach.
Responsibilities
Coordinate with the Communications Lead on regional communications strategy.
Draft and schedule Spanish-language posts for platforms such as Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
Support the maintenance of the content calendar.
Monitor engagement and identify opportunities to strengthen digital reach.
Assist with communications and follow-up with Spanish-speaking organisations and campaign partners.
Participate in virtual meetings related to outreach and campaigns.
Prepare short summaries, messages, or graphic materials when required.
Skills & Qualifications
Background in Communications, Public Relations, or Marketing desirable.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Spanish.
English proficiency (minimum C1) for internal coordination.
Strong community engagement and interpersonal skills.
Cultural sensitivity and awareness of the Latin American context.
Proficiency in managing social media and digital outreach.
Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
Passion for animal rights and alignment with the organisation’s values.

Campaigns Assistant
Location: Remote | Commitment: 8–10 hours/week | Language: Spanish & English
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Campaigns Assistant to support the planning and delivery of our advocacy campaigns for farmed animals. The role involves assisting with communications, outreach, and research to ensure campaigns are effective and well co-ordinated.
Working alongside the Executive Director, you will help prepare campaign materials, monitor timelines, and strengthen engagement with allies and supporters. While this is an unpaid volunteer position, it offers valuable experience in advocacy, communications, and non-profit campaign management.
Responsibilities:
Draft and edit campaign materials (emails, social media posts, presentations).
Assist with outreach to organisations, media, and stakeholders.
Support data collection, monitoring, and reporting of campaign progress.
Help co-ordinate events, launches, and supporter actions.
Provide general administrative and research support to campaigns.
Skills & Qualifications:
Interest in animal law, animal protection, or social justice causes.
Strong written communication skills in Spanish (English desirable).
Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable in meeting deadlines.

Legal Researcher for Latin America
Location: Remote | Commitment: 8–10 hours/week | Language: Spanish required; English C1+
We are seeking Legal Researchers in Latin America to support Animal Law Focus’s mission to conduct research on the regulatory framework for the protection of farmed animals and to develop innovative legal strategies aimed at strengthening existing standards and advancing the recognition of animal rights.
Responsibilities:
Literature Review: Undertake thorough research on existing laws and regulations related to animal rights.
Data Collection: Gather information on animal treatment, welfare conditions, and relevant legal cases.
Case Analysis: Analyse and summarise legal information obtained through research.
Policy Research: Investigate current policies affecting animal rights and propose potential reforms or advocacy strategies.
Report Writing: Contribute to the preparation of reports, articles, and presentations that highlight research findings and recommendations.
Skills & Qualifications:
Degree in Law (LLB, JD, or equivalent).
Prior knowledge of or interest in Animal Law in Latin America is desirable.
Familiarity with research methodologies.
Strong ability to analyse legal texts, identify relevant issues, and synthesise complex information.
Legal writing skills, including the ability to draft reports, briefs, and articles clearly and persuasively.
Ability to evaluate and critique legal arguments, policies, and practices concerning animal rights and welfare.
Commitment to advocating for animal rights.
Capacity to work independently, remain organised, and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in both Spanish and English.
Based in South America (ideally Chile, Argentina, or Peru).
