Ranking of Complaints by Company
Aquaculture Sector in Chile
Animal Law Focus presents its first public ranking of aquaculture companies in Chile based on official complaints, infractions, and sanctions documented between 2018 and 2023.
This page is part of our broader initiative to uncover the systemic failures in animal welfare enforcement, increase transparency in the industry, and support informed public advocacy.
Between 2018 and 2023, 989 complaints were reported in the fishing and aquaculture sector. Complaints range from unauthorised use of spaces, poor disease management, escapes and pollution, to overproduction of fish. The fines imposed vary from USD 180 to USD 19,000.
We are working to bring you more detailed information about the violations and penalties imposed on each company. We are committed to transparency throughout the entire farm animals industry.
